STOP, START AND CONTINUE FOR BEST IN CLASS LEADERSHIP AND IMPACT THROUGHOUT COVID-19 AND BEYOND

This blog is the first of a series where I will be taking an in-depth look at some of the key messages and themes from the ‘Good leadership do’s and don’ts during Covid-19’ infographic. I was delighted to receive such positive feedback and hear stories from so many of you, as to how beneficial this resource has been to you and your organisations.

Over the past few weeks we have all undergone a huge amount of change and subsequent learnings and lessons. We need to continue to act with agility and resilience to constantly evolve and adapt as this situation unfolds. Many of us continue to adjust to remote/virtual working (in many instances with partners and children), revise tasks, adapt to changing deliverables, answer very challenging questions and make tough decisions, all whilst facing uncertainty.

Now is a very good time to reflect on your leadership style and how it is impacting either positively or negatively your ability to drive results and lead during these unprecedented times.

Here is a short yet powerful, reflective exercise you can complete to ensure your leadership and impact remain best in class throughout Covid-19 and beyond:

Stop: Which of your behaviours and actions are unproductive, inefficient, and are holding you back from delivering your best?

Start: Which behaviours and actions can you adopt authentically that will be impactful, deliver desired outcomes and drive you forward?

Continue: What are your best attributes? How can you reinforce and refine these using your new learnings?

The application of learning is crucial to your continuous professional development and the productivity of your teams…..what will you apply going forward?
